While many tour companies will begin to slow down operations in the winter months due to the obvious cold and snow inconveniences that would make many national parks less enjoyable to visitors, Bindlestiff Tours finds that the weather becoming less hot actually provides us with quite the opposite effect, and many of the tours which we have to slow down on during the winter months due to the excessive heat (like Death Valley) are far more comfortable and enjoyable in the winter months than in the summer. While most of our tours operate for nearly the entire year, there is one that we feel is the best choice for those who want to experience the beauty of our southwest national parks in the winter. The National Parks Winter Tour is a three day adventure that takes our customers on a guided tour of Antelope Canyon, Grand Canyon National Park, Lake Powell, Monument Valley and Zion National Park. For those who want to experience the best of the best when it comes to the beauty of our national parks at the best time of year, this is the tour for you.
On day one we drive to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon in order to experience one of the most amazing places on earth. You are set free to wander through the majestic Ponderosa Pines and experience the lushness of this amazing place in it’s most beautiful time of year. The canyon itself is perfectly complimented by the vegetation and wildlife, and you can see if from above or below, as an optional helicopter tour is available to those who choose it.
Day two takes us to Monument Valley and Lake Powell where you can explore Navajo country on your own or on a 4×4 tour. These areas are visual masterpieces, Monument Valley being the backdrop of many Western movies due to it’s incredible landscape and unbelievable scenery. You will even get to experience a traditional Navajo trading post.
On day three we tour through Antelope Canyon, Horseshoe Bend and Zion National Park. These three places will give you goosebumps as you see them all in the same day, and then are treated to walking and hiking trails that are appropriate for all fitness levels. The white, pink and red Navajo cliffs are truly a wonder that no adventurer should go home without seeing in person.
Our Winter Tour is perfect for those who want to experience a multitude of national parks in the southwestern United States, and all of the different beauty that each one provides. The tour gives you the best national parks during the best time of year, when the weather is temperate and is not so hot that it makes hiking and walking less enjoyable. In addition, the foliage of the areas is at it’s best point during these months, making it the perfect time to enjoy a tour.
Our tours leave from Las Vegas, picking you up and dropping you off at your hotel room, and providing you with meals and transportation, as well as guided tour adventure.
