One of our most popular products is our tours of Zion from Las Vegas, due to the fact that we offer this one day tour as a private excursion. What this means is that you will have the entire tour to yourself and your small group, without any others that you do not know joining you. While a private tour is naturally more expensive than one which shares the resources, the benefits of going private are obvious. This tour is able to be more personalized for your group, and is able to take on the aspects that you want to have to a far greater degree than a mixed group. These tours depart from Las Vegas on Thursdays, and must be arranged in advance to assure availability.
Zion National Park is located in Utah, near Springdale. Zion is named for the Hebrew word for “a place of peace and relaxation.” Zion Canyon itself is a colorful mix of sandstone cliffs that were cut by the Virgin River. It also features magnificent petrified sand dunes that tower more than 2000 feet over the canyon floor. The park is well known as being a photographer’s paradise as the landscape and foliage blend together into an unforgettable visual palate. The tour that we offer lands us in Zion at the River Side Walk, where you can spend time exploring the Emerald Pools and the Temple of Sinawava, Weeping Rock, the Great White Throne and even the Human History Museum. The tour itself starts with a pickup in Las Vegas at your hotel room at about 8:00 AM and will return you to your hotel at about 7:00 PM.
Some of the interesting aspects of the area that you will definitely not want to miss are Weeping Rock and the Temple Of Sinawava. Weeping Rock is an unusual natural phenomenon where water oozes from the surface of rocks beginning in an underground stream. It takes more than 1,000 years for the water to make it to the surface, so the water that you are seeing actually began it’s journey more than 100 lifetimes ago. While you are exploring the area you will also notice the 288 species of birds that populate the area, including the California Condor which are endangered. There are few places on earth where you will be able to potentially see a California Condor, so Zion is a must for bird watchers. You will also see one of the world’s largest natural arches in Zion. Kolob Arch measures a staggering 287 feet in length. Theses are just a few of the unbelievable sights and experiences that a Zion tour will provide you.
Bindlestiff Tours is one of the only operators offering private tours to these areas, and we do offer tours to the area as well that are not private. Theses tours span two days and are combined with a tour of Bryce as well in order to allow our visitors to experience both of these breathtaking parks during their visit to the Southwest. When you book your next vacation to Las Vegas, make sure you keep a few days open to experience the natural beauty outside the lights of the city.
