Many people from all over the globe consider doing at least one epic trip in their lifetimes. Some people go further than that and visit exotic and beautiful areas often, understanding that adventure is one of the elements that keeps you young. There is a huge difference between “adventure travel” and simply touring an area. Adventure travel is an attempt to become more intimate with the surroundings, live like the locals or great explorers did, and find the little hidden gems that every area has along the way. Adventure travelers are the ones searching for the places that are not in the guide books and not on the maps, the ones that only the old man who has lived there his entire life knows about. An adventure traveler is trying to experience the area, instead of simply taking pictures of themselves in front of it. This is why adventure travelers search for the epic areas, the ones that will provide air so clean you can taste it, water so blue and clear that it looks like a painting, and expanses that are unspoiled by man’s encroachment. They are looking for the places where wildlife has not been disturbed, and they want to become part of it at least for a short time. This is the adventure that the Canadian Rockies offers you, and all you have to do is dedicate some time and let our guides take you there.
Our Canadian Rockies tours start in Seattle, and we cross the Canadian border into Vancouver to begin our travels. As a small group we tour through Kamloops, Yoho National Park, Lake Louise, Banff National Park, Ice Fields Parkway, Jasper National Park, Mount Robson, Clearwater and Whistler before we are done, exposing our new friends to wildlife including bears and whales, birds of prey and small creatures out looking for food. You will see alpine lakes and waterfalls, canoe through Lake Louise and see glaciers and huge mountains. The tour itself lasts seven days, and ends in Seattle at the pickup point.
So the question we are always asked is “why should I visit the Canadian Rockies when there are mountain ranges in America?” The answer is simple, it is the same thing as saying that the Grand Canyon and Zion are the same. The Canadian Rockies are completely spectacular in their own way, and while there are plenty of other mountain ranges and areas inside the US that are completely worth exploring, we find that the wilderness of western Canada provides an experience that is unlike anything that can be found elsewhere. There is simply a wilder feeling about the entire place, where you are able to see the natural beauty of the place around every corner. Part of what we do every day is to assess what areas of the world have offered us the best personal travel experiences, then create a product that will allow you to experience it too. Our Western Canadian Rockies tour does just that, taking you on an adventure that we ourselves love as much as you do!
