Bindlestiff Tours is a specialized adventure tour company that offers tours of national parks and protected spaces in the American southwest.  While we also offer several tours of other areas that are not in the southwest, our primary offerings are tours of this area.  Our home location in Las Vegas serves as the starting point for these tours, as we have found it to be the most logical starting point for a number of reasons.  The primary reason we chose Las Vegas as a hub is because of it's location.  We are situated within a one-half day drive of nearly all of the parks and spaces that we tour, which allows us to minimize driving time to the location and maximize exploration time.  We structure our tours that involve multiple parks to utilize their proximity to one another in order to to minimize travel time as well, because it is less time to drive between most parks than it is to drive from Las Vegas to the first.  We have found that our guests prefer this method, as we get to spend more time in the parks and less time on the road.  The second reason we chose Las Vegas is that it is a tourist hub itself, which means that our guests are able to book a hotel room in their budget, as well as have a good time in the city at any of our restaurants and entertainment venues during the time when we are not touring.  We find that an overwhelming number of our guests are here as part of a larger vacation, and spend time in and around Las Vegas when we are not touring.  Because so many people are actually taking time out of a Las Vegas vacation to use their distance from so many

When you started thinking about the things you were going to do during your Las Vegas vacation, you probably Googled "things to do in Las Vegas." The list you were presented with probably had a lot of shows and restaurants that were in and around the city, mostly on the strip.  Some of the more extensive lists will also include things to do that are not necessarily in the city itself, and will discuss must see places outside of Las Vegas within a reasonable driving distance.  This list will mostly reference the different national parks that are in the general vicinity and able to be driven to, and this list will almost be guaranteed to include the Grand Canyon.  The Grand Canyon is considered one of the most iconic landscapes on earth, and must be visited by anyone who has come to Las Vegas.  If you have come this far, it is quite simply worth the few more hours of driving to see it.  The Grand Canyon is located in Arizona about four hours drive from Las Vegas, and because it is within such a reasonable distance it is offered by most tour companies in one form or another leaving from Las Vegas as the starting point.  We offer the Grand Canyon tour as an overnight that includes camping because we believe that you cannot do and see everything that is worth seeing in only one day if you lose the first four hours of it to driving.  We like to spend at least a full day in the park exploring, hiking and viewing so we will also offer the Grand Canyon as part of our multi-day packages as well, because it takes less time to get there from some of the other nearby parks that we visit than it

When you visit Las Vegas, you are probably going to be approached by numerous people advertising tours of the Grand Canyon.  You will probably also notice many signs and billboards advertising these tours, and mentioning that they only take a few hours to get to the canyon from your hotel room.  While this is certainly convenient sounding, you may be disappointed to find out that these tours are not going to the Grand Canyon National Park.  Instead, they are going to a portion of the Grand Canyon that is controlled by Navajo Nation, and while it is still technically the Grand Canyon, it is not the one you have probably seen in books and magazines.  The Grand Canyon National Park is an area that is roughly 4.5 hours drive from Las Vegas, and is well worth the extra miles because of it's scenic beauty and plethora of things to do.  For many years, people have been visiting not just the Grand Canyon, but this particular area of the Grand Canyon because of it's stunning views.
