2020 has been a very difficult year for the travel industry, with many airlines no longer being able to maintain operations due to be significantly reduced amount of travel from other countries to the United States. Because we are seeing fewer numbers of foreign tourists, we are also seeing significant amounts of reduction within industries that have traditionally relied upon foreigners to make up the bulk of their patrons. Especially difficult is the industry that provides tours to national parks, once a favorite have flown to the United States. Because these types of areas are accessible only through road travel, those from other countries made up a large portion of the clientele because they do not prefer to rent a car and drive on their own. As a result of the reduction of foreign tourists, many of the businesses that provided tours of national parks have ceased operations. Others have found it very difficult to maintain the safety measures that are suggested by the CDC in order to keep patrons of businesses safe. The main difficulty comes in providing physical distance between unrelated people door in the travel portions of these types of trips. Those standards to have the minimum of 12 to 14 people in a bus or van in the past, the majority of these people coming from different groups have not been traveling together. Because of the obvious problems bringing several groups together into an enclosed vehicle, only the operators who have been able to modify the way they offer their transportation options have been able to maintain their tours to some degree. For example, we have begun offering a self guided tour option for every one of our popular tours as well as reducing the amount of patrons necessary for each war to become private. We have reduced the number of seats which must be purchased in a vehicle from 14 to only 4, which gives most families the ability to book a private tour for the same price that would be to book 4 seats on a standard tour. These new options in addition to our safety measures which have been reviewed by the appropriate parties who allow commercial tours of national parks have allowed us to continue operations even when most tour operators have been shuttered.
In order to keep our patrons safe, we have removed the middle seat option from our tours in order to allow for a safe physical distance between people. We have required mass swearing for all people within the vehicles, and temperature check all patrons before they enter the vehicle. The one showing symptoms of Coronavirus will not be allowed on the vehicle except in situations where doctors no explains the condition as something else. All vehicles are completely sanitized using our hospital grade foggers, and all community aspects have been changed to single use. Camping equipment as well as large in has been transition and to solo tents and rooms where applicable, and every aspect of the tour is now designed to allow for physical distance between people.
