The Covid-19 crisis which began at the beginning of this year has taken a significant toll on the travel industry. With regards to businesses like ours that provide tours of national parks in group settings, there have been very few that have been very few that have continued to operate. During a time when there needs to be an outlet for entertainment in a safe environment, the majority of two were operators have not been able to adhere to guidelines that would keep their guests safe. Due to their inability to make changes to their products and methods, to several national parks are no longer allowing them to utilize their commercials status in order to gain access to their facilities. This leaves only a few operators in the United States still providing tours of these park spaces. We have adapted to the way we do things in order to keep our guests safe and maintain our tour schedule as much as possible. For this reason we have continued operations when others have ceased providing tours for the time being.
The main ways that we have changed the way we operate during this health crisis is to maintain compliance with the CDC, and follow their guidelines as closely as possible. In order to provide physical distancing of at least 6 feet away from other groups of people, all our tour vehicles are having the center seats blocked so as to provide physical distance between people. If you are traveling together you can still see it near one another, but the middle seat will not be available in most cases. You for that tour begins you will be temperature checked on your forehead with a thermometer and any guest show and symptoms of Covid 19 or a temperature exceeding 100° F will not be permitted on that tour. Any condition which causes a fever that is not cold and related will meet to be accompanied by a doctor’s note stating this condition and providing a release. All camping equipment and vehicles are sanitized before every trip using both hospital-grade foggers as well as other sanitation methods, and all aspects of the tour that were communal in the past have now been replaced with a single use items. This includes food as well as any other item that may be touched by multiple people. Face masks are required at all times and solo tents and guest rooms are now mandatory. In order to provide a completely private experience we have also created new tour products like our self drive and private tour options. Using these variations of our products you will be able to completely distance yourself from others by using either your own vehicle, or by having all seats on our vehicle the occupied by members of your group alone. Through these extreme measures we have been able to continue our operations, and are anxiously waiting for the day when we can return to our normal operations, all the while keeping the guest’s safety our number one concern.
