Monument Valley Tours From Las Vegas : When visitors from other states or countries come to the American southwest in order to tour some of the iconic spaces and national parks, many times they are confused as to why we (and most other tour companies as well) do not offer tours of just one park or area, choosing instead to combine the tours of several parks into one trip. While we do offer several day trips that will only visit one park, the majority of our offerings are combinations of several parks over a series of days with camping overnight. For example, we offer tours of Monument Valley by itself as a private tour (which are essentially private group tours that allow you to choose what parks you visit and for how long) but we visit Monument Valley as part of our three day or seven day tours in combination with Bryce, Zion, Grand Canyon and other parks. So why do we offer Monument Valley tours from Las Vegas only as part of these bigger tours? The answer is driving time.
Monument Valley Tours From Las Vegas
Las Vegas and Salt Lake City are the closest major cities to many of these parks, so using either of these cities as a starting point makes sense for those traveling to their destination. If you are flying to the area from somewhere else in the country or the world, you need to pick a city that is close to the parks while still allowing for major airlines to land at the airport that services the area. In most cases this leaves only Las Vegas and Salt Lake as the cities that will allow for less than a full day drive from the start. Zion is the closest national park to Las Vegas on these tours, being significantly closer than the closest park to Salt Lake. This makes Las Vegas the ideal place to begin your trip, combined with our large selection of hotels and restaurants, making it an ideal vacation that includes the national parks tours. We can get to Zion in about 4 hours, which gives us time to tour the area and enjoy it before camping for the night.
The “tour loop” that we provide is basically a series of national parks and protected areas that we can drive to with the least amount of driving time in between each one. If we drove to any of these parks from Las Vegas and then returned, the driving would take most of the day and therefore wouldn’t provide you with ample time to explore the park itself. This is why we choose instead to drive the 4 hours to Zion, then drive from Zion to Bryce, Monument Valley, The Grand Canyon and other parks from that point. It takes less time to drive from one park to another than it does to drive from Las Vegas to the first park, so we attempt to provide tours that will take us from park to park in a loop that minimizes the drive time to and from Las Vegas itself. We have found that most of our clients enjoy this method, and have the best experience.
